Il Plàtina
Born in 1421 near Cremona, in Piadena and for this reason nicknamed “Il Plàtina”.
Bartolomeo Sacchi was tutor of the Gonzaga family, cardinal, member of the college of abbreviators of the pontiff and director of the Vatican library.
An innovator, a humanist, but above all an excellent gastronomist.
We are passionate about his history, the modernity of his ideas, his conception of the kitchen as the art of enhancing the local raw materials, what he wrote in “De honesta voluptate et valitudine” – Honest pleasure and good health, the revolutionary book that as first dealt with the complexity of gastronomic science with literary, naturalistic digressions and anecdotes.
Inspired by him, every day we wear our toque, jacket, turn on the stove and cook for you.
